B. O. B.- The Real World

In class this last week or so, we have come across "Farmer Ted" problems. We might only be given these types of word problems to make finding maximum area and such more interesting. However, the "Real World" encounters many situations where "Farmer Ted" problems are legitimate. For instance, a farmer could most definitely need to evaluate how much fencing he needs to cover a certain area. This idea links directly to "Farmer Ted" and his fencing circumstances. Although I occasionally struggle with finding maximum area or dimensions of "Farmer Ted's" pen, the practice may possibly help me in the future if I have the same goal.
