Now, the picture above is an example of Kirlian photography. The light coming off of the dimes is called corona discharge. In order to make this visible to see, you are basically running a high voltage electric current through a metal plate, with glass and a photogenic film on the top. Like in the photo below. Now, with inanimate objects, like the dime above for example, if it were to be cut in half, the corona discharge would still surround the remaining piece of material used in what was previously the dime. But then they took a living object, a freshly clipped leaf, on the film. Now, as normal the corona discharge was shown around the leaf. But then they cut the clipped leaf in half and placed it on the film. Only this time, the corona discharge did not change from the previous formation it had when the leaf was still in one piece. So, instead of the corona discharge forming around the half leaf like predictions thought, the discharge was shaped like a leaf, with only half a leaf in it. This was something that wasn't able to be explained well by scientists. And is really odd. But they also did more experiments as well. This time, they had a couple place their hand on this plate. As normal, you could see the corona discharge come off the hands as normal. But then they had the couple kiss, and some weird un-explainable things happened there too. If you look up at the dime picture again, and see how close they corona discharge is, and were it crosses. In there, ( where the corona discharge crossed from their fingers ) when they kissed, almost like tiny sparks of colors appeared. Which was also very odd. Now, I haven't done a TON of research yet, BUT. I do think that it is extremely interesting to think about, and people should want to study these kinds of things, rather than trying to create life themselves. Ya know? I don't know. I just think people are overlooking a lot and diving way to deep into what we should study, and what we shouldn't. I mean, you have to learn words and what they mean before you can talk to someone. Just a thought. :) I'm excited for the trimester though! :D

Kirlian Photography
So, the other day I had a conversation with my dad. In fact it was a decently long conversation ( about 3 hours ) about numerous topics that most people tend not to think about in their everyday routine. One of these things he told me about was Kirlian Photography. Basically it's a scientific form of photography used for entertainment, but studies as well. Studies for things like parapsychology. ( The study of consciousness to things like apparitional experiences, near death experiences, telekinesis and things like that. )
